RYAN, MARIE IRENE - Marie Irene Ryan (nee Fleming) passed away February 4, 2014, at the St. Patrick's Home in Ottawa, Ontario. Marie was born in Norton, New Brunswick, on August 6, 1923, the youngest child of the late James Joseph Fleming and the late Helena Agnes (McGlone) Fleming. Marie graduated from Norton Superior School in 1941, and from the St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Saint John, NB, in 1946. Her well-respected nursing career was at St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John, NB until her marriage in 1956 and subsequent move to Ottawa. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Arthur (Art) Ryan, her brother, Warren Fleming, and her sister, Catherine Buckingham. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Fleming, and her devoted son, Dr. Michael Joseph Ryan, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
