Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Monday, February 10, 2014, of Kathleen Ann Affleck (nee Phelan) of Charlottetown, age 67 years.
Beloved mother of Donna Gormley (Neil Bambrick), Terri-Anne Affleck (Trudy MacMillan) and Sherri Lynn Bruce (Nigel). She is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Amy and Kendra Gormley, Emily, Nathan and Katelyn Bruce; three great-grandsons, Drew, Devan and Drake Gormley; sisters and brother, Faustina Guindon of Stratford, Reginald Phelan (Betty) of Barrie, Ontario, and Maureen Constable (Sterling “Stu”) of Hillsborough Park. She was predeceased by her parents, Sophus and Kathleen (nee Morrissey) Phelan; brothers and sisters, Alfred, Irving, Minnie Kelly, Mildred, Francis, Lizzie, Bill, and Junior.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning then transferred to St. Michael’s Church, Iona, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the family plot in the parish cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Home Care Palliative Care Program.
