
Gordon Daye
DAYE, GORDON HOWARD B.Comm., C.G.A. - Gordon Howard Daye passed away on February 12th, 2014 at his home in Fredericton after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Fredericton on December 14th, 1938 the son of the late Gordon W. and Lillian (Grant) Daye. He is survived by his loving wife Helene (Durette), his children Darren Daye of Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta and Derek Daye (Penny) of Everett, Washington. He is also survived by his sister Joan Ann (Leslie) Martin, his granddaughter Alexandra Daye and great granddaughter Madison Kylie, his uncle, Howard Grant of Fredericton, N.B. and nieces, nephews and cousins. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Kelley Lynne Daye, his grandparents Howard and Grace (Green) Grant and Charles and Hattie (Hall) Daye, and aunts and uncles. Gordon and family lived in Montreal for twenty-six years where he was co-owner of Metrocan Leasing Ltd. He graduated from Concordia University with a degree in commerce and shortly thereafter received his C. G. A. designation. After retiring to Fredericton he worked part-time for Bemrose and Kilburn and Walmart Ltd. Gordon was an avid golfer. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
