Passed peacefully away on February 11, 2014, at age 75. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Edwards. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Brenda of 24 years; son Steven (Ann); grandson Sam; Steven's mother Jean Smith; stepson David Oakley (Anna- Marie); step-grandsons Carter and Cayden; mother-in-law Ethel Hynes; sisters-in-law: Glenys Newport (Cliff), Corinne Hynes (Glen Dawe), and Michelle Hynes (Jim Dunlop); brothers-in-law: Robert Hynes (Dot), and Jim Edwards; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, February 14th, from 2:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, February 15th, at 11:00am with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
