NICKERSON, Cecilia Marie – age 84, Trinity Place, Yarmouth, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 28, 1929 in Surette’s Island, she was a daughter of the late Celestin and Leona (LeBlanc) Muise. Cecilia was a homemaker, and she enjoyed flowers, knitting and gardening. She is survived by a son, Robert (Nora) Muise, Wedgeport, as well as by grandchildren, Colin and Devin Muise, and great grandchildren, Shane and Nicholas. Also surviving is a sister, Phyllis (Andy) Wallace, Ireton, and brothers, Rudolph (Nina) Muise, Tusket; Levi Muise, Surette’s Island. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth R. Nickerson; brothers, Russell, in infancy, Nathan, Stanley and Roy Muise. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. A funeral mass took place at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 15 at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Rev. Gerald David officiated. Interment followed in Saint Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Surette’s Island.
