We thought of you today,

We thought of you yesterday,

We think of you in silence,
And make no outward show,
For what it meant to lose you only
Those who love you know
Remembering you is easy
We do it everyday
It’s the heartache of losing you
That never goes away.
When links of love are broken and
The loves one has to part,
It leaves a wound that never heals.
And an ever aching heart.
When families get together
There’s one we do not see,
It fills our hearts with sadness
Thinking how it used to be.
We talk about the old times,
And though we smile the same
It hurts deep inside us,
When someone speaks your name.
So we all have our memories,
From which we will never part.
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our hearts.
