MAILLET, OSWALD - 1932 - 2014 - Oswald Maillet, 81, of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014. He was married to Juliette (Richard) Maillet. Born in Saint-Thomas, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and the late Béatrice (Allain) Maillet. Oswald worked as a fisherman and a carpenter. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Juliette, his children; Annette Maillet (Jean-Paul Goguen) of Cocagne, Daniel (Lisa) of Waltham, MA, Steven (Nancy) of Billerica, MA, and Robert (Tania) of Moncton, his eight grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; his sisters; Huberte Casey of Saint-Thomas and Odette Richard (Adrien) of Waltham, MA, his two brothers; Bernard (Rosa) and Réginald (Patti-Ann) both of Saint-Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Oswald was predeceased by a sister, Fernande and two brothers; Roger and Eugère.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de l’Église in Bouctouche, on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 4:00pm. In Oswald’s memory a donation can be made to Les Amis de l’Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent.
