It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce Steve’s passing, after an 18-month battle with Multiple Myeloma. He peacefully left his family at Provincial Palliative Care, Charlottetown PE, on Thursday, February 13th to be with his Lord. Steve was in his 68th year. He is the beloved husband of Judy (Ross) of 45 years. Also leaving to mourn with wonderful memories, are his three children; Leanne Butler (Greg), Mark (Marie-Andree), Nancy Ossinger (David).
Steve has his grandchildren whom he adored. Charlie and Emily Parsons, and Jacob, Julia, Sam and Emma Ossinger.
Feeling this loss greatly are Steve’s six siblings in St. John’s Newfoundland; Charles (Sandra), Rodger (Barbara), Ina (Wayne), Clayton, David (Janet), Francis (Jean).
Though predeceased by his father, Clayton and mother, Mabel, he leaves behind to mourn; his mother-in-law, Vera Ross, (Mt. Pearl, NL), sister-in-law, Jean Vickery (Ken) and Don Ross (Joan), and nieces and nephews, from both the Parsons and Ross families.
Steve is resting at the Hennessey, Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday February 16th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Charlottetown on Monday February 17th at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
