LAVOIE, ZITA - Zita Lavoie, 92, formerly of Curry Street in Moncton, passed away on Thursday February 13, 2014 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born on May 30, 1921 in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Damien and Philomène (Babineau) Lavoie. Prior to her retirement, Zita worked for over 33 years at Eaton’s. She was a former member of the Militia Reserve and the Breasiders. She is survived by two sisters: Jeannita Lavoie of Moncton and May Crevier (Raymond) of Rimouski, QC; two sisters-in-law: Freda Lavoie of Moncton and Violette Lavoie of Shédiac, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers: Honoré, Léandre and Gérald.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Monday February 17, 2014 at 11 am. Father Paul Breau officiating. Visiting hours Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre.
