GIGANTE, ALETHA FRANCES - 1917 - 1914 - Peacefully, Aletha Frances Gigante, 96, passed away at the Kenneth E Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton on February 14, 2014. Born in Malden, Aletha was a daughter of the late Burton and Victoria (Polley) Spence. Aletha was a homemaker for all of her life, caring for and loving her family. She will be sadly missed by her son, Wayne (Marceline) Allen of Cap Pele; a daughter Marcella (Douglas) Hicks of Moncton; seven grandchildren, Pam Hicks, Kimberley Hicks, Duane (Wendy) Hicks, Alan (Jodi) Hicks, Ian (Trudy) Allen, Kelly Allen, and Jamie (Martine) Allen; eleven great grandchildren, Melissa, Evan, Alex, Ryan, Courtney, Addisyn, Cyane, Jade, Maxium, Madison, and Brooklyn; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Aletha was predeceased by a grandson, Shawn Allen; her brothers John and Robert Spence as well as her two sisters; Verda Hawes and Hilda Whittle.
Arrangements for Aletha are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, February 17, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm from the funeral home on Tuesday at 2 pm. Pastor Gordon MacLeod officiating.
