It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 Sherry Doreen Hicks age 51 years of Lumsden. Predeceased by her husband Wayne Button; parents Pearce and Clara Gibbons. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Allan; son Peter(Jennifer) of St. John’s; daughter Valerie(Derek) of Newcastle, ON.; stepson Jamie(Connie) of Ladle Cove; stepdaughter Tammy(Kevin) of Cochrane, AB.; grandchildren Hannah, Abigail, Maddison, Caitlin, Claire, Zackary, Abigail and Andrew; brothers Varick(Yvonne) of Lumsden, Wayde(Eileen) of Lumsden, Danny(Ruth) of Lumsden and Dean of Lumsden; sisters Mavis(Randy) of Lumsden, Ollie(Mike) of Timberlea, NS., Norma(Marven) of Lumsden, Sheila(Kevin) of Templeman and Gail(Kevin) of Lumsden; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service took place at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Badger’s Quay on Saturday, February 15, 2014 with Rev. Desmond Jagger-Parsons officiating, assisted by Rev. John Watton. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or monetary donations given in Sherry's memory may be donated to those families of Lumsden who are dealing with Cancer.
