Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Friday, February 14th, 2014 Anita Mercer of Mount Pearl. Gone to meet her sweetheart, husband Grant. Leaving to celebrate her life are her children: Amelia (Alvin); Mandy (Lewis); Debbie (Paul); and Grant (Denyse) and grandchildren: Neale (Anne), Desiree, Allison, Melanie, Adam, Trista, Kelsey and Kayleigh, and great grandchildren: Damon, Kayla, Dylan, baby Rowan, special sister, Joan (Kevin), and friends, Mary and Bill. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, Freshwater Road, on Sunday, February 16th, and Monday, February 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, on Tuesday, February 18th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery. The family suggests wearing something red to the funeral in memory of mom's favorite color.
