Robert (Bob) Fleming of Torbay (February 8, 1946 - February 16, 2014) - After a courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed peacefully away at home in the arms of his loving family. Predeceased by his father Thomas, sister Barbara and brother Terry, his parents-in-law Patrick and Hannah Hickey, sister-in-law Kay Moran and brother-in-law Larry Martin. Leaving to mourn his best friend and loving wife of 46 yrs Shirley, daughter Shannon, son-in-law Blair Parsons and grandchildren Olivia and Blake Parsons; son Mark, daughter-in-law Amy (Walsh) and grandchildren Cole, Brianna and Gwendolyn Fleming. Also leaving to mourn mother Carmel Fleming, brothers Ron ( Lorraine), Brian (Yvonne), sisters Bernice Martin, Rosemary Kavanagh, sisters-in-law Patsy Parsons, Mary Hickey ( Kevin Armstrong), brothers-in-law Jack Hickey (Loretta), Tony Hickey (Juanita) and Jim Moran, numerous nieces and nephews who thought the world of their uncle and good friends and neighbours especially Jean Duguay. Bob was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He loved spending time at his cabin, in his garden and at "Poppy's Pub". Poppy Bob will be forever loved and dearly missed by his five precious grandchildren who were his whole world. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay on Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. from Holy Trinity Parish. Inurnment to follow at Old R.C. Cemetery, Torbay.
