Lieu de décès : Dartmouth
Date de décès : 16 février 2014
Isabel Ann (Morrison) Mancini passed away on Feb.16, 2014 at St. Vincent’s nursing home. She was formerly of Sydney and Margaree Cape Breton, and later of Dartmouth.
Born Dec. 3, 1922 in Westmount, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Angus and Mary Jane (Rudderham) Morrison and her brothers, Duncan (Ivy) and Francis (Mary Lou) and her husband, Benito.
She is survived by her children, Vivian (Peter Miller); Peter (Marian Borden) and Benita (Alfred Ajello) and her beloved grandchildren, Angus and Keagan Miller; Charlie, Anna and Rachael Mancini; and Alexander and Elizabeth Ajello.
She was a woman of strong convictions, who enjoyed life to the fullest and was a born story teller. She had a remarkable memory and her knowledge of Cape Breton history was, as some said, a better information source than google. Those who knew her will treasure their memories of her wit and her words of wisdom which she dispensed until the very end of her days.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will take place Friday, Feb. 21st at St Peter’s Catholic Church, 10 Maple St., Dartmouth at 10 a.m. A burial service will be held in Cape Breton at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK children’s hospital.
Arrangements are in the hands of the Dartmouth Funeral Home.
