Dr. Frederick Hayward McWilliams

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Dr. Frederick Hayward McWilliams announces his peaceful passing on February 17th, 2014, at home with his family. He is predeceased by his parents William John and Kate Louise (Hayward) McWilliams, parents-in-law Mary and John Huly, sisters Alice (Claude) Boadway, Mary (Horace) McTavish, Helen (Herbert) Headen, Billie McBurney, Margaret McWilliams, Ruth (Eric) Bryant and brother Edwin (Eleanor) McWilliams. Fred is survived by the love of his life Sonia, his wife of 65 caring years; his four children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Angela, Pamela (Willie), John (Valerie), Kent (Renata); Jaclyn (Florian), Shannon (Federico), Luke (Sonia), Maria (Tim), Kate, Peter, Patrick, Ania, Ali Marie, and Kaley (Lee); Easton, Sadie and Hudson; brother-in-law Claire McBurney and many nieces and nephews. A time of Visitation will be held on Friday February 21, 2014 from 7 - 9 pm at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrews Church, 60 Athabasca St. E., on Saturday February 22, 2014 at 3:00 pm. Reverend Jim Tenford will officiate.
