Kenneth Donald MacLeod, 63 of Dartmouth passed away Feb. 20, 2014 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Donald MacLeod and Margaret (Morrison) MacLeod. He retired from the National Research Council, was former president and active member of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloe, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Somme Branch #31.
He is survived by Mary MacNeil; his sons, Iain MacLeod and Stephan MacLeod; daughter, Maggie (MacLeod) Perkins; brothers, Gordon MacLeod (Shaune) and Douglas MacLeod (Wilma); grandchildren, Rowan MacLeod and Kenna MacLeod; his many beloved nieces and nephews; his extended family, friends, and co-workers.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St, Dartmouth, followed by a reception at 3:30 p.m. at the Harbour Lodge Buffalo Club (2 Wentworth, Dartmouth). Interment at a later date at Forest Haven Memorial Garden,1510 Grand Lake Rd, Sydney.
