Age 50, of Halifax was received into God’s loving embrace on the 20th of February 2014.
Beloved son to Ronald and Paulette Guthrie. Beloved grandson to Amelia and the late James Bird, the late Mary and Ebert Guthrie. Beloved brother to Scott. Beloved father to Jasmine and Timothy. Beloved husband to Christina Maria Juurlink Guthrie. Beloved son-in-law to Wilma and John Juurlink. Beloved nephew, cousin, uncle, in-law and friend.
Ron celebrated the the gift of love and life with his family, in his love of animals, especially cats, namely the South Park Kitties (SPKs). Ron’s diverse group of friends is a testimony of his devotion and loyalty. Ron had a gift of humour, acceptance and generosity that has touched the hearts of all whom he met. Christmas memories, music appreciation and witnessed miracles will keep Ron close forever more.
Friends may call at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the chapel Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Elaine Walcott officiating. A reception will follow the service.
