Lillian Brine
BRINE, LILLIAN - Lillian Brine RN of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Dr. George L. Dumont University Hospital on February 23rd, 2014 at the age of 83. Born in Westville, April 13th, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William and Madeline (Derapes) O’Brien. Lillian is survived by her loving children Patricia Brine, Darlene (Alan) Brine Hollett, her loving and devoted grandchildren; Thaddy Brine, Sara Hollett and she was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents and her husband Joseph “Thaddy” she is predeceased by her sisters; Mildred Fillier, Sophie Ellis, Beatrice Ferguson and her brothers; William Scully and Fredrick O’Brien. She will be remembered for her kindness and her wonderful sense of humour. She graduated from St. Martha’s School of Nursing, Antigonish in 1952 and took pride as a dedicated nurse with a career that spanned over 40 years.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
