FONTAINE, ROLAND - (1951 - 2014) - ALDOUANE, NB - Roland Fontaine, 62, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital, Moncton on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Born in Guimond Village, he was the son of the late Adelard and late Marie (Cormier) Fontaine. Roland was employed as a body man and also constructed new homes. He loved to go hunting and fishing in his spare time. Roland will be sadly missed by his wife; Noella (Landry) Fontaine of Aldouane, three daughters; Susie Cormier (Geoff) of Richibouctou-Village, Chrissie Fontaine of Calgary, Cindy Little (Matthew) of Rexton, and seven very special grandchildren; Terry, Anika, Chloe, Raine, Keagan, Tyrone and Trey. Roland is also survived by one sister; Rose Doucette (Alonzo) of St. Ignace, three brothers; Idola Fontaine (Mai) of Aldouane, Val Fontaine (Jeannette) of Bouctouche, Mario Fontaine (Judy) of Aldouane and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son; Ricky.
As per Roland's wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 am, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations is Roland's memory may be made to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital, Palliative Care Unit and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
