I wish to express my deepest appreciation to all my relatives, friends and neighbours who helped me celebrate the life of my sister, Frances MacNeil. Special thanks to my fellow priests Fr. Paul Abbass, Fr. Francis Cameron, Fr. Sandy MacNeil, Fr. Doug Murphy and Fr. Callistus Abazie for concelebrating the funeral Mass with me. Sincere thanks also to the pallbearers, readers, gift bearers, altar servers and the combined choirs of St. Barras, St. Andrews and St. Columba for their very touching music. To those who prepared the grave site, sent condolences, Mass cards, flowers, phone calls and memorial donations, I am sincerely grateful. A heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Steelworkers’ Lane who were always so understanding, kind and compassionate in making Fran feel comfortable and at home. Special thanks to James and Kate Young as well as Bob Francis for all their help and guidance. To the Ladies Auxiliary of the Christmas Island Fire Hall, thank you for the wonderful lunch provided. To all who attended the wake and funeral, your presence was much appreciated. God Bless you all.
