Loved by many, respected by all — it is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Albert Legge, age 93, at home. He will be deeply missed by his old and new friends. His family will especially feel the loss.
He is survived by his dear wife of 50 years, Gladys, and seven children, Harold Legge, Linda Dixon (LLoyd), Joyce Power (Gordon), Joan Sinclair (David), Barbara Wallace, Deborah Rose and Susan DeWitt (Clif); grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, Laura, Kristin, Pamela, Gregory, Matthew and many great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his eldest son, Gerald Legge (Jean) and an infant daughter, Doreen.
Thank you to all friends and relatives who have helped and comforted us. Thank you to palliative care doctors, City Homemaker staff and VON for all your love, support and help. An extra heartfelt thank you to Dr. Murdock Smith, Palliative Care Nurse Michelle Murphy and VON nurse Paul for touching Dad's life so deeply during his illness.
As someone familiar with the promises of God, Albert looked forward to the "Real Life" and hoped to attain it.
A memorial service will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 786 Alexandra St., Sydney on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 10:30 a.m.
Cremation has taken place.
