Betty Muriel Yuill

Betty Muriel Yuill, 90, of Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, February 28, 2014. Born in East Earltown, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ellen (Ferguson) Matheson.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and attended Highfield Baptist Church. She loved country music, the Toronto Blue Jays, gardening (especially lillies and roses), was an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing cards (Canasta) and playing practical jokes. One of her greatest feats was visiting backstage with Alan Jackson at his Magnetic Hill concert.

Betty will be sadly missed by her children, Suther (Gail) of St. Margaret’s Bay, NS; grandson, Terry Yuill (Lynn); great grandson, Nicholas; John (Lorraine) of Coldbrook, NS; grandson, Brian Yuill (Bev); great grandchildren, Cole, Lane, Sage, Regan; grandson, Mark Benmore (Tammy); great grandson, Hudson; Donna Stalker (Rennie) of Woodstock, ON; grandsons, John Stalker (Keri); great grandchildren, Seyli and Jack; Jason Stalker (Michele); great grandchildren, Emily and Zoe; Dianna Berry (John) of Truro, NS; granddaughter, Amanda Conohan (Jay); great grandson, Ronyn; granddaughter, Melissa Berry; sisters, Anna McFadden of Truro, NS; brothers, John Matheson (Lorraine) of Truro, NS and Dennis Matheson (Mary) of East Earltown, NS. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carlyle “Carl” Yuill (2005) and brothers, Bennie and Lloyd.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment, Old Barnes Cemetery, Clifton, NS.
