The death occurred on March 1, 2014, at Beach Grove Home, of Roy Fredrault MacKinnon, formerly of St. Peter’s Bay, in his 86th year.
Husband of the late Mary MacKinnon (nee Ryan). Loving father to Dan (Laurina) of Calgary, AB, and Greg (Treva) of Kentville, N.S. Loving grandfather to Shane (Jeanine), Kyndra, Lauryn, and Emily. Also survived by brothers, Artie (Freda), Raymond and Lenny (Joan), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Catherine MacKinnon; his wife, Mary; by his sister, Eva MacIsaac; and by his sister-in-law, Agnes MacKinnon.
Resting at Dr. Roddie Community Center, St. Peter’s Bay, for visitation on Monday, March 3, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. only. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Bay, on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 3 p.m.
Memorial donations in Roy’s memory may be made to St. Peters Fire Department equipment fund. Interment to take place later at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
