Donald Stanley MacLeod, 87, of South Bar, passed away Sunday March 2, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in South Bar, he was the son of the late Angus James and Eliza (Meech) MacLeod.
Donald was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12, Sydney. In 1989, he retired from the electrical department of SYSCO.
He is survived by his daughter, Juana (Rob), South Bar; sons, Donald (Fay), Lethbridge, Alta. and Eric (Colleen), Coxheath; sister, Ruth (Maurice) Bidart, Sydney; and the two loves of his life, granddaughters, Lauren and Julie.
Donald was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite (Boutilier); sisters, Dorothy and Winnifred; and brothers, George, Wilson, Doug and Lewis.
At Donald’s request, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
