DAIGLE, LAZARE JOSEPH - Lazare J. Daigle, 90, of Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born in Acadieville, he was the son of the late Jaddus and Eugenie (LeBlanc) Daigle. Lazare was a retired welder with Moncton Foundry and attended Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Lazare will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 55 years, Jeannette (Legere) Daigle; children, Aurele Daigle (Mary Merrick) of Hampton, Lynn Armitage Forbes (Gilbert Page) and Anne Davis (Peter) both of Moncton; cherished grandchildren, Ryan Armitage, Jill Buchanan (Nick), Marc Daigle (Angelica Armitage), Rochelle Ferguson (Neil) and great-granddaughter, Zoey Ferguson; brother, Yvon Daigle (Irene); sister, Marie Thebeau and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eloi and sisters, Margaret Poirier and Lea Gallant.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Lazare will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, in the spring.
