Mary, formally of Sydney passed away peacefully March 4, 2014 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Katharine (Vance) Tuba.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Frank and is survived by her son David and daughter Donna (Gerald Smith); grandsons Jason and Jonathan Smith, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her sister Helen Stephenson, Sydney, and is survived by her sisters Margaret Keller, Sydney, Irene Tuba, Welland, Ontario and Velma Scott, Sydney and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid baker even in her later years. Mary was a member of Trinity United Church, Sydney.
Sincere appreciation to Dr. Chang and the wonderful staff from the Transitional Care Unit (4th Floor), Dartmouth General Hospital for their caring and compassion.
There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery in Sydney at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital or the Canadian Red Cross.
