Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, of Mr. Lawrence Patrick “Lorne” Koughan of Charlottetown and formerly of Donagh, age 78 years.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Thomas) and dear father of Lorna, deceased (Ronnie Gallant), Barb (Charlie) Mackie, Marty (Donna) Koughan, Frank (Anne) Koughan, Janet (Pat) Kelly, and Larry Koughan (Kim Mooney). Stepfather of Shelley MacLeod (William Dainard), Fern (Robert) Weatherby and Heather (Glen) Tuplin. Lorne is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Henry Koughan, Joe (Elaine) Koughan; his sisters, Catherine Koughan, Anita Koughan and Mary Holland.
He was predeceased by his first wife, May (Gallant); parents, Frank and Ella Koughan; granddaugter, Kristen Koughan; great-grandson, Colton Leard; brothers, Canisius, Elmer, Earl; sister-in-law, Annette Koughan; and brother-in-law, Danny Holland.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
