Passed peacefully away in the arms of her loving family on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Health Science Centre in her 93rd year, Evelyn was a resident of Kenny's Pond Retirement Home for five years. Predeceased by her husband Bernard Casey, parents William and Isabel Davis and sister-in-law Margaret Davis. Left to celebrate a lifetime of memories are her children; Vincent (Mary), Delta, BC; Michael (Veronica), Nanaimo, BC; Kay (David) Dowden, Kelligrews; Joan (Leslie) O'Reilly, Paradise; Clarence (Angela), Upper Gullies; Ann (Stephen) Pinsent, Corner Brook; Nora (David) Black, Prince George, BC; Cindy (George) Fox, St. John's and William (Kimberly), Fall River, N.S. Loved and adored by 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister Mabel (Norv) Oxford of Deer Lake; brothers Wilfred Davis, L'Anse au Loup, and Cecil Davis (Rita), L'Anse Amour, Labrador and special friend and companion Jack LaFosse, St. John's. Also leaving to mourn are the residents and staff of Kenny's Pond Retirement Home, her card buddies from St. Paul's Parish and many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 10, 2014 from St. Augustine's Church, Westerland Rd at 10 a.m. with inurnment to follow at L'Anse Amour, Labrador at a later date.
