It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Gillam announce his passing at the St. Clare’s Hospital in St. John’s on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the age of 80 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Barbara (nee Reid); sons: William (Denise) and Paul (Wendy); daughter, Paula (Ken); daughter-in-law, Cheryl; grandchildren: Joshua, Sarah, Aamie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Lee’Ann, Shawn, Matthew, Issac, Jenaya, Joah; great-grandchildren: Jayce, Molly, Liam, Rose, Trent, Sawyer; sisters: Claudia, Doreen, Janet, Louise; brothers: George and Dave; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was ­predeceased by parents, Walter & Louise; son, John; sisters: Bernice and Alice. In honor of Wilfred’s wishes, ­cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Monday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with The Very Reverend Baxter Park officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of ­flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society.
