
Audrey Lewis
LEWIS, AUDREY - Audrey Lewis, 93, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her granddaughter's home in Miramichi. Born in Monteagle, she was a daughter of the late William and Ada (Lewis) Murray. Audrey was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, a Life Member of Riverview Baptist WMS and together with her late husband Moody, were founding members of Riverview Baptist Church. A homemaker, she took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens, especially her geraniums, and she enjoyed knitting. She was awarded "Mother of the Year" in 1988 by the Moncton chapter of the M.S. Society. Survived and sadly missed by her daughter Janet Parlee (Harold) of Miramichi; grandchildren Mark Lewis (Maggie) of Lawrencetown, NS, Tanya Nichols (Chris) and Terri Lynne Maltby (Mike) of Miramichi; great-grandchildren Daphne and Lachlan Lewis, Emma Nichols, Allison and Luke Maltby; daughter-in-law Molly Weyman (Jack) of Fredericton; sister Marjorie Wortman (late Lorne) of Moncton; brother Arnold Murray (Phyllis) of Lethbridge, AB and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Moody (2005); son Merle; great granddaughter Mirabel Lewis; sisters Arlene Jones and June Casey and brother Elroy Murray.
The family will receive guests Monday, March 10 at the Salisbury Baptist Church from 12 noon until Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. officiated by Rev. Tim MacKinnon. Interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). If desired, donations to the M.S.
