LeBLANC, ALFRED “FRED” - 1926 - 2014 -Alfred “Fred” LeBlanc, 87, of Auberge du Soleil and formerly of Dover Rd., Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, March 8th, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Memramcook-East, NB, he was the son of the late Nastas and the late Ida (née: Bourque) LeBlanc. Prior to his retirement, Mr. LeBlanc had worked as a mechanic and farmer. He was a WWII veteran, having served in the army infantry # 8954. Fred was a member of Saint Anselme Parish. He is survived by one daughter, Lauza (late Bernard) Dupuis of Memramcook; three sons: Jean-Denis (Debbie) of Riverview, Ronald (Brenda) of Memramcook and Donald (Irene) of Dieppe; four grandchildren: Mario (Tia), André (Stéphanie), Roger (Mélanie) and Lisa; two great-granddaughters: Chloé and Danika; three sisters-in-law: Louise LeBlanc and Georgette Landry, both of Memramcook and Estelle (Ola) Bourque of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews; he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence (née: Leger) in 2007; three sisters: Beatrice, Rita and Irene and also by five brothers: Eddie, Ernest, Aurelle, Arthur and Harvey.
No visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Thursday, March 13th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment in Saint-Anselme parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
