Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family on Saturday, March 8th, 2014, Cecil W. Roberts, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Violet (nee Williams), his children: Orvan (Brenda), Bob (Heather), David (Deanna) & Neta (Roy Pinksen), his 8 grandchildren: Darren, Adam, Corey, Craig, Tyson, Jacob, Taylor & Kael, and 8 great-grandchildren, his siblings: Beryl, Marie (Melvin), Ruth (Reginald), Ruby (Howard), Scott (Shirley), Reid (Capitol), Avis (Roy), and Joan (Dawson), his sisters and brothers-in-law: Ethel, Lulu, Gertie (Roger), Howard (Jean), Bruce (Maisie), Christine (Clarence), Peggy (Winston), also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. Cecil was predeceased by his daughter Wanda Roberts, parents William and Lillian Roberts, his father and mother-in-law D.J. and Annie Williams, his brothers-in-law: Dorman Roberts, Bronson Williams, Cyril Williams and Thomas Crews. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service of Remembrance will take place from The Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennetts Ave. Deer Lake, on Wednesday, March 12th, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Grimes, Pastor Coles and Pastor Hillier officiating with the burial to follow at the Pentecostal Church section of Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL. Flowers and/or donations to The Gideons Bible, in Cecil's memory would be graciously appreciated by the families.
