KENDALL: Kenneth Lloyd of Cadillac, SK passed away at the age of 83, on March 1, 2014 in Swift Current, SK. The Memorial Service was held on March 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cadillac Community Hall with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. The eulogy was read by his niece Naomi Ramsay, and honorary pallbearers are all those who have shared in Ken's life. The interment service will take place in the Cadillac Cemetery at a later date. Ken is survived by his children, Patricia (Rene), Brian (Shauna), Gary (Dixie), and Warren; grandchildren, Shannon, Chad (Tabita), Justin, Jason (Alison), Sasha, Derek, Ricky, Cody (Kendra) and Jordan; and great grandchildren, Dragahn, Solange, Mitchell, Matthew, Chloe, Ava, and Halyn; his sister Doreen (Ken) Ramsay; companion Pauline Cloutier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Vivian in 1988, mother Mabel in 1985, father Isaac in 1957, and brothers, Ray in 1995 and Nap in 1992. Ken attended the Priory School and then Kelliher and Cadillac schools. He then met Vivian Florence McCreath and they were married on March 11, 1953. Ken worked at London Assurance and Dominion Oxygen in Manitoba before returning home to Cadillac to farm permanently in 1951. In the 90's, he worked as a crop insurance agent. Ken served on the school board and was a councilor for the R.M. of Wise Creek. Ken had a variety of interests including curling - he loved "bonspieling", cards - a good game of poker and cribbage with his mom, singing and dancing, fishing and hunting. His true love was farming, and he was a social person who loved to spend time with family and friends. Ken loved travelling, making trips to Las Vegas and Deadwood, visiting his sister in Humboldt and his daughter in Calgary. He also took trips to England, and went on a cruise. Donations may be made to the Cadillac Communtity Hall or to a charity of ones choice in memory of Ken. Lemieux Funeral Home, Ponteix, SK were entrusted with the arrangements.
