MARR, HILLIARD - Hilliard Marr of Lutes Mountain passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on March 8th, 2014, at the age of 88. Born in Cornhill, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Leeta (Dunfield) Marr. Hilliard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Alberta (Steeves) Marr, daughters: Linda (Charles) Hepburn of Debert, NS; Debbie (Ronald) Boylan of Victoria, BC; Wanda (Logan) Reynolds of Bible Hill, NS; Donna (Joseph) Hughes of Steeves Mountain and Cheryl Marr of Moncton; as well as ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Edith McCully, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Hilliard is predeceased by brothers, Melbourne and Glendon, and sister Elsie Steeves. Hilliard was a member of the Corn Hill United Baptist Church. He enjoyed working outdoors and took great pride in his gardens. He also took great pleasure in meeting and talking to people at his garage sales.
In keeping with Hilliard’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service and interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 12th, 2014, at 2:00 pm. Donations in Hilliard’s memory may be made to Corn Hill United Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
