Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, at age 62. Predeceased by his parents Ralph & Lily Duffett, and his mother & father-in law Walter & Annie Downey. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Lois; son Steven (Lily); sister Ivy Ivany (Hanuel); brothers: Melvin (Marie), and Ross (Marg); nieces and nephews: Randy, Patsy, Jill, Joanne, Terry, Sheri, and Scott; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special "Thank You" to the staff of 4 West at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and Dr. Hiscock for their care and support. Visitation will be from Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, March 14th, from 2:00pm- 4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm; and on Saturday, March 15th, from 10:00am-12:00pm. Memorial service will be from Barrett's Chapel on Saturday at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in his memory may be made to VOWR.
