Passed peacefully away on March 12, 2014 after a lengthy illness, Gilbert Kenneth Mark Pike age 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Martha Jane Pike along with his sister Marie Sturge. Leaving with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years Helen Elizabeth Pike nee Thorne; two sons: Mark (Pamela) and Bruce (Ann); one daughter, Susan (Wayne) King; Seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Phillip), Ashley (Sean), Stefan, Christoph, Samuel, Elizabeth and Philip; and one great granddaughter Hannah, whom he all adored; also leaving with loving memories, sister Joan Wicks and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Thanks to the special caregivers for their dedication and support. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Gilbert's life will take place at Cochrane Street United Church on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Columbarium in Mt.
