WOODS, J. DIANE (1959 - 2014) - Miramichi - Juanita "Diane" Woods, companion of Mr. Lynn Gilliss, of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the age of 55. Born in Elliot Lake, Ont., on March 2, 1959, she was the daughter of the late W. Ellis and Juanita A. (Bjurstrom) Russell. She was a homemaker; a former employee of Tim Horton's and a former hairdresser at Headmasters. She was an adherent of the United Church.
She is survived by her companion and friend, Lynn Gilliss; two daughters, Juanita Woods, of Miramichi and Sarah Woods, of Calgary, AB; two sons, Ross Woods (Pauline), of Black River Bridge and Leo Woods (Mary), of Miramichi; one sister, Mayda Russell, of Edmonton, AB; four brothers, Ross Russell, Byron Russell, both of Miramichi, Bruce Russell (Donna), of Williamstown, Robert Russell (Helen Ann), of Edmonton, AB; eight grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in St. Marks Cemetery, Miramichi, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
