It is with great sadness that we, his grieving family, announce the sudden passing of Bert Boutilier, Little Pond, on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
Bert will be reunited with his late parents, Hector and Medie (Doyle) Boutilier.
Bert was the loving husband of Brenda (Clarke), and proud father of Greg (Paula Young) and Erika (David) Hearsey. He was known as Grandpa to Mikhail and Monte Hearsey and new grandson, Hunter Boutilier. They made Grandpa proud and kept him young at heart. Bert is also loved and missed by siblings, Marilyn (Cletus) Couture, Mary Lou (Dexter) Bothwell, Jimmy (Dianne), Suzanne (Bruce) MacDonald, Walter (Esther), William (Shona), Margaret Ann (Kevin) McGean, Janice Lloyd, Hector (Brenda), Denise (Clarence) Pyke and Christopher Boutilier. He was also greatly loved and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. He was much admired and loved by his extended Clarke family.
Bert was rich in friends and family, he will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, including his faithful sidekick, Bailey.
As per Bert’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Bert wished for those who knew him to remember him as was in life. A private memorial for the immediate family only will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, as Bert would have done, help someone in need.
