Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Long Term Care, Ada Marie Harding Samms (nee Laing) at the age of 86 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Otto Harding (Maisie), Stephenville, Lloyd Harding (Bride), Norris Point; daughter Sandra Payne (Cyril), Pasadena; and daughter-in-law Mary Harding, Corner Brook; nine grandchildren: Chris Harding, Cathy Harding, Jason Harding (Charity McNabb), Wendy Ward (Jason), Michael Payne (Tara), Cheri Young (James), Timothy Harding (Gillian), Jeffrey Harding (Gwen), Janice Harding (Devan Barrett); ten great-grandchildren: Emily, Ryan, Nicholas, Rachel, Maddox, Carley, Marshal, Tenley, Alainna, Chelsea, her little dog Sheika; also her sister Maude Boone of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Bryant Harding, and second husband Reuben Samms, son Fred Harding, her parents Jessie and Joseph Laing, her brothers and sisters. Visitation will take place at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Norris Point beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, March 14 through to Sunday March 16 from where the funeral service will take place at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Canon Louise Richards officiating. Interment to follow at the Old Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of Sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice.
