WAINWRIGHT, GLADYS - Gladys Madeline Wainwright of Chipman passed away peacefully at the York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB at the age of 92 years. Gladys was born on September, 9th, 1921 in Cumberland Bay, NB, daughter of the late James and Berdie (Thompkins) Grant. She is survived by her son, Newton Wainwright; grandchildren, Wayne (Marie) Wainwright, Wendy (Jack) Bishop, Janet (Mike) Barton; great-grandchildren, Travis, Brandon, Andrew, Matthew, Grant and James; great-great-granddaughter, Grace; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Charles Wainwright in 1996; sister, Violet Kierstead; brothers, Robert, Ira, Donald and Clayton; daughter-in-law, Margaret.
Funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home Memorial Chapel (339-6612) on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Pete Thomas and Rev. Betty-Jean Friedman officiating. Family will receive comfort on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the Chipman Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the United Cemetery, Cumberland Bay, NB at a later date.
