Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, March 14, 2014, Samson Rose of Salmon Cove, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Aseneth; sister: Marjorie; brother: Harold. Left to mourn, wife: Carol (nee Spurrell); two daughters: Cheryl Rose (Gene O'Grady), Carbonear and Maryette (Jim) Sheppard, Holyrood; two sons: Darrell (Stephanie), Salmon Cove and Barry (Vanessa), Victoria; eight grandchildren: Samantha (Brad), Kristen (Shane), Cheryl (Cody), Douglas, Madison, Tiffany, Drake and Chloe; one brother: William (Catherine), Carbonear; two sisters: Enid (Roy) Oldford, Port Blandford and Annie Squires, Old Perlican; brother-in-law: Morley (Katie) Button, Old Perlican; sisters-in-law: Florence Rose, Salmon Cove and Beulah Spurrell (Winston Bradbury), Harbour Grace South; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. T. Wayne Blackwood conducted the Funeral service on Monday, March 17 from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
