(October 5, 1929 – March 19, 2014) – Passed away in the presence of his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, Charles A. Rose, in his 85th year. Predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Rose (nee Blackmore); his brother, John Rose; and his father, Thomas Rose. Leaving to mourn his children: Joanne Hensel (Glenn), Lynn Haire (Cecil), Lisa Drover (Peter), and their mother Theresa Rose-Porter; his grandchildren: Madison and Adam Tiller, Olivia, Natalie and Julia Haire, and Stephanie and Dylan Drover; special friend Viola Tibbs; sisters: Pauline Guzzwell (Bert), and Shirley Jahn (John – deceased); special cousin, Don Blackmore; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, March 20, from 7-9pm and on Friday, March 21, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
