Lovingly surrounded by her family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Saturday, November 22, 2008, of Ann McManus of Duvar Court, Charlottetown, and formerly of Bonshaw, age 94 years. Precious mother of Sr. Carol McManus CND, of Stratford, P.E.I., Michael McManus of Hopewell Cape, N.S., Claire McGuirk of Toronto Ont., Joan (Vernon) Axworthy of York Point, P.E.I., and Dennis (Joanne) McManus of Churchill, P.E.I. Special grandmother of Jodi (Atsushi) Yasuda and Joshua McGuirk, Kara (Scott) MacLeod and Shaun (Crystal) Axworthy, Dr. Gregory and Steven McManus and Hayley and Liam McManus. Great-grandmother of Jack, Adam, and Kate Yasuda and Baylie Axworthy. She was predeceased by her husband John McManus and her parents Catherine and Ephe Costello. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:45 on Tuesday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Monday evening 7-9. If so desired memorial contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home.
