(WWII Veteran, Royal Navy: 1939-1945) - Passed peacefully away on March 22, 2014 at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion, Wilfred Allen, aged 92. Wilfred served in WWII, Royal Navy from 1939-1945. He also became a Master Mason in 1969. Predeceased by his loving wife Winnifred, parents Frederick and Mary Agnes, sister Amelia Parsons, brothers Melvin and George Allen. Leaving to mourn his daughters Beryl Gallimore and Debbie Allen, son Fred (Donna); brother Nelson Allen; grandchildren Christine (Gallimore) Enta (Brant); Mark Allen (Una), Leslee Marquardt (Robin), Andrew Allen, Jessica Allen and Kaitlin Allen; great grandchildren Lincoln and Ivy Marquardt, Genevieve Enta; sisters in law Emily Butler and Vera Slade; and special buddies Samuel and Emma Collins, as well as a large circle of family and friends. A special thank you to the staff of the Caribou Veterans Pavilion for their care and support. Visitation at Barrett's funeral home on 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2 - 4pm and 7- 9pm, Monday, March 24, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and 10-12pm on March 25th. Funeral service to take place at Barrett's Chapel at 2:00pm on March 25th. Donations made in his memory to the SPCA or Heavenly Creatures will be gratefully accepted.
