It is with great sadness that the family of the late VIDA BENNETT of Frenchman’s Cove announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014, at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Husband – Vincent Bennett of 41 years; Sons – Chris Price (Darlene Antle) of Frenchman’s Cove and Michael Bennett (Heather) of Kitchener, ON; Special Niece – Wanda Tibbo; Sisters – Esther (Robert) Whelan of St. John’s, Emma Williams of St. John’s and Marie (Don) Marsh of Garnish; Brothers – Clarence Bond of Grand Bank and Leonard (Mae) Myles of Grand Bank; 6 Grandchildren – Christopher, Sherry-Lynn, Kaiya, Summer, Lucas and Andrew; 2 Great-Grandchildren – Landyn and Ariana; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Parents – Gertrude and William Tibbo and Charles and Florence Osbourne; First Husband – Dennis Price; Great-Grandson – Jackson and Sister – Ernestine Myles.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, March 22nd, at 3:00 p.m., from St. Joan of Arc R.C. Church. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Frenchman’s Cove. In Vida’s memory donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Frenchman’s Cove or flowers gratefully accepted.
