It is with great sadness that the family of the late GERARD A. HYNES of Jacques Fontaine announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, March 19th, 2014, at the age of 69. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Wife – Zita of 47 years; Sons – Leo (Charlene Hynes) of St. Bernard’s and Keith of Singapore; Mother – Annie Hynes of Jacques Fontaine; Sisters – Cecilia Banfield of Jacques Fontaine, Betty (Barry) Noble of Jacques Fontaine and Pearl (Andre) Gagnon of Jacques Fontaine; Brothers – Frank Hynes of Jacques Fontaine and Special Brother – Ivan Hynes of Jacques Fontaine; 4 Grandchildren – Ashton, Brieanne, Evan and Logan; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Father – Peter Hynes and Brother – Peter.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Monday, March 24th, at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard’s. Cremation will follow. In Gerard’s memory donations may be made to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard’s or flowers gratefully accepted.
