It is with great sadness that the family of ALLAN HACKETT announce his sudden passing on Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 at the age 66. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years Mildred; son Al, daughter Tanya Pike (Paul), grandchildren: Ryan and Kyle; brothers: Reginald (Violet), Walter (Eva), Thomas (Martha), Gerard (Mary), Brendan (Holly), Karl, Peter (Nancy); sisters: Velita McCarthy (Michael), Ann Marie Hackett, Donna Donahue (Darren); sisters-in-law: Philomena Hackett, Eva Hynes (Larry), Linda McHugh (Carl); brothers-in-law: Bill Pennell (Sherri), Glenn Pennell (Faye), as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Michael F. and Bride Hackett; brothers: Ted and Ignatius, sister Rhona; mother and father-in-law Lindburgh and Patricia Pennell. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Benoits Cove, Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
