Passed peacefully away in the loving arms of his wife Doris surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 of Seal Cove, age 78 yrs. Predeceased by his parents Sam and Fanny Bishop, parents-in-law Victor and Clarice Morgan, 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Leaving to mourn his wife Doris of 55 years, daughters: Faye Pottle (Ray), Helen Saunders (Dave), son: Gordon (Sherry), 5 grandchildren: Edward Pottle (Lori), Vanessa Hiscock (Adam), Rayna Pottle, John Charles Baldwin (Kerilyn), Jeffrey Bishop (Deanne), 12 great-grandchildren, special sister Amy Rideout (Eli), brothers: Sam (Julie), Wilson (Lorraine), Harvey (Dale), Ralphie and Arnold (Nancy), sisters-in-law: Bernice Haines (Jim deceased), Norma Dawe (Tom), Ruth Coates (Eric), Glenys White (Eric), brother-in-law Carl Morgan (Annette). Also nephews, nieces and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Wednesday and Thursday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, Friday 10 - 12 noon. Funeral service in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upper Gullies on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Upper Gullies.
