(1920 - 2014) - Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Annie Doris Hussey, age 93 years. Annie was born in Wesleyville, Bonavista Bay to Clarissa & Kenneth Hill and was predeceased by her husband James (J.J.)(2007); son Kenneth; daughter Linda Harnum; sons-in-law: Glenn Crummey and Larry Kunz; sisters: Maisie Hounsell & Esther Hill; and brother Eric Hill. Annie leaves to mourn her loss, daughters: Ruth (Bruce Tilley), Judy (Bruce Shelswell), Barbara, Carol (Paul Tilley), Nancy (Wayne Murphy); son Eric; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Hussey; and son-in-law, Rick Harnum (Cathy). Annie also leaves her grandchildren: John (Nancy) and David (Justine) Tilley; Peter (Michelle) and Lisa Shelswell; Jennifer and Geoff (Jamie Power) Crummey; Leslie (Jason) White; Brian Tilley; Greg Hussey; Megan (Paul Kane); David and Katie Harnum; Steven (Melissa) and Nicholas Murphy; great-grandchildren: Stephen Tilley, Reagan and Jayda Crummey, Hannah and Samuel White, Kobe Weir, and Chloe and William Kane. Annie also leaves the staff and her many friends at Karwood Retirement Retreat where she resided for the past year, as well as many other relatives and close friends. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, March 27 from 7-9 pm, and Friday, March 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 10:00am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
