HOPPER, ELDA M. - Elda M. Hopper, formerly of Royal Court, Riverview and Silverwood Crescent, Moncton, passed away peacefuly at Serenacare Nursing Home on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Born in Little Shemogue in 1924, she was the eldest daughter of the late Richard and Bessie (Ibbitson) Dobson. Elda worked in her younger years at the Sackville Post Office and Eaton’s Order Office before moving to Bathurst where her husband was employed with Lounsbury Co. Ltd., returning to Moncton in 1961. Elda enjoyed golfing, curling, crocheting, needlepoint, petit point and bridge games. She was an excellent homemaker and lifelong mentor to her daughter. Elda is survived by her daughter, Brenda J. McFarlane; one sister, Nellie Gould (Curry) of Amherst, NS and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vaughan C. Hopper (2007); sister, Vera J. Dexter; brothers, Warren, Ivan and Harold.

Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
